For the fourth successive year, EMC Events successfully delivered the Graduation Balls of both Warwick University and Birmingham University.  Set two days apart, both events took place in the grounds of the beautiful Coombe Abbey Country Park near Coventry & Rugby, and had a distinctive ‘festival' feel as they were attended by thousands of students saying farewell to university life!


EMC Events delivered a total event management solution, and was responsible for all aspects of the production from site design, client relations, infrastructure procurement, artist bookings and transport management to licensing, health & safety planning, catering & bar provision and everything in between. Just some of the highlights from the events this year included -

• Blistering live sets from FEEDER, THE WOMBATS and THE HOOSIERS
• A full 3-course banquet for over 1200 people each night
• A casino & cocktail bar
• A ‘silent' nightclub playing drum & bass and contemporary indie music through wireless headphones til the early hours
• A special ‘Magners orchard' in the main courtyard serving the ice-cold Irish cider
• A full white-knuckle funfair
• A stunning fireworks display set to music
• A incredible big-top for the main venue capable of holding over 7000 people

A year in the planning, and 2 weeks on-site to build, EMC Events carefully managed the whole process with a combined budget in excess of £350,000.

Both events performed incredibly well, with increased revenues and bigger guests than in previous years - a level of success which has undoubtedly established a new benchmark for the 2009 Graduation Balls in June of next year.
